News this time is weirder than normal. First a few basic updates. I need to apologize for the delays and misses in my comic. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep up with things but my life is like a whirlwind right now. Lucky for me… I love a good storm. I have a LOT of projects in tow right now. Most of which are making fantastic progress.
However the one that keeps cutting into my comic stripping is ‘Project: Villain’ an as of yet unnamed graphic novel that I’m writing, drawing and coloring. I’ve been working on it since May 3rd of this year and am happy to announce that as of now I have completed the entire story outline, completely written and framed the 1st and 2nd issues (of 8) and developed all the characters. Soon I’ll start being able to put up character workups and plot outlines and such (once I’ve got such things protected).
In other news. One of my affiliates, Wes Toma, has asked me to co-host Painful Addictions with him. For those of you not in the know, Painful Addictions is a weekly podcast reviewing new entertainment with a focus on comic books. So sometime in the next couple of weeks… you’ll be able to listen to he and I bantering about other peoples creative outlets. How cool is that?
Last but not least… it is now July. I just did a comparison between last month and this month in terms of visitor traffic and the sort. I’m extremely excited by the numbers and even though you might not get what I’m talking about… I’m gonna geek out about this anyways. (I put it at the end though so you can leave now if you don’t care.)
So… the number of unique hits per day hit a new record by making a 20% increase from the previous record.
The visits per month were almost 150% compared to last month with is amazing.
The percentage of Bounce has decreased slightly from 56% to 52% which doesn’t seem that impressive but the percent of returning vs new visitors has shifted from almost a 50/50 ratio to a 66/33 ratio which is insanely great! Because really… the higher the returning visitors side is the higher the bounce percentage should be since returning visitors are less likely to linger since it’s just “check for new comic”. So the increase in returning and the decrease in bounce is very very cool.
That’s all I’ve got for now but until next time please remember… if you’ve had half as much fun reading my comic as I have making it… then I’ve had twice as much fun making my comic than you’ve had reading it.
-end of line-
