So what’ve I got to mention these days? Conventions are coming. I failed to make the grade in the VC contest. Podcasting news. Nothing drastic.
My last post mentioned that I had made some entries into Vaute Couture for thier first design contest. I managed to pull of an honorable mention but didn’t make the cut to finalist stature. Though given that I have no true background in clothing design I’m pretty pleased with that. And now that I’ve seen how far off the map the finalists were I know I can be a bit more experimental next time I’m in such a situation. I realise now I played it a bit too safe with my designs. As per usual my adhearance to the technical guidlines in a creative endeavor proved to be my undoing. It’s a curse.
In other news I’m making arrangements for Halloween season (which as far as I’m concerned starts tomorrow). I’m trying to put together a fairly last minute Dark Cheshire costume. We’ll see how it manages to pull off. Aside from that I’ve just got a lot of social arrangements to keep up with.Last but not least, I’ll be attending Boston Comic Con on Nov 2nd in a semi-professional capacity thanks to my recent involvement with Fat Cat Funnies. Kind of cool for me. I’m also making my final push on some personal projects in prep of New York Comic Con so hopefully I’ll keep making good progress on that stuff.
Oh I’ve also made a lot of changes to the grid of the gallery section. I’ve made more overall containers to account for a spread in attributes and a wider variety of samples. If you haven’t flipped through in a spell… please do. :-)
Last but not least I’ve been away from Painful Addictions for a spell but will be making my return to the mic in early November. I’ve even got a new “Advice Column” bit I’ll be doing upon my return. Go check out the past few shows though. George O’Conner, one of my favorite writers to work with and the unintentional leader of not only the band Viper Rash but also of Lazy Horde Productions, has been filling in for my absence in the podcast world.
I think that’s all I’ve got.
So until next time always remember… when it comes to fighting zombies… don’t rely on anything that requires ammo. Always have a back up.
-end of line-
