Thanks for the feedback on my comic. I'm always interested in hearing peoples opinions. Mostly the art style changed because I need to improve on my pencil techniques. Everything before was drawn directly only the computer.

I'm considering adding a digital inking stage to the web comic to clean it up. I'm defiantly trying to refine the shading too. I've never really worked in a high contrast style like this so each strip is gonna be a little different until I figure out what I like and what I don't. I already figured out that I don't like the heavy shadows on the face and skin. I tried to use a light grey on the skin in the last one to supplement the black but i think that's what's causing the dirty muddy sense you're mentioning.

I should have this all figured out in the next few strips. I'd love it if you'd comment again in a week or two and let me know what you think of the transition.

Thanks again. :-)

This is the coolest comic I've discovered this year so far--and that says something--but I'm not really digging the new art style.

I know this is supposed to be "shaded areas," but a bunch of heavily shaded people in front of a white background don't look shady. They mostly look... Muddy.

The strips you were doing before were mostly bright-colored--and in fact had very little shading--but they were still every bit as dark as you were going for. The dialogue (which is awesome--I wouldn't be bothering to critique you if the strip weren't worth it) and the cynical expressions on everyone's faces did that. You don't need a lot of literal shading to make the strip feel shaded.

Particularly not when it makes the hot chicks look like they've been wrestling in the mud.
